Every family has a recipe or two that shows up at every gathering. This is ours. It’s a snap to put together, and the buttery, smooth feta on a crusty baguette is hard to resist.
We take it to book club, tailgates and neighborhood parties and it always disappears.
Here’s how we make it:
Beat the cream cheese, softened butter and feta cheese together until smooth.
Add the garlic and oregano and mix until well combined.
Mound in the center of a serving plate and shape into a ball.
Surround with sliced scallion, black olives and chopped tomatoes.
Serve with a sliced baguette.
Feta Cheeseball Recipe:
1 stick of salted butter, softened
1 block of cream cheese (8 ounces)
1 container of crumbled feta cheese (6 ounces)
1 teaspoon dried oregano
½ teaspoon garlic powder
1 bunch scallion sliced
2 small tomatoes, chopped
1 can black olives, drained and sliced
Beat the cream cheese, softened butter and feta cheese together until smooth. Add the garlic and oregano and mix until well combined. Mound in the center of a serving plate and shape into a ball. Surround with sliced scallion, black olives and chopped tomatoes. Serve with sliced baguette.
This looks very tempting… I’ll give it a try! I think I have almost all of the ingredients!
Let me know how you like it, La Trisha!!
